The Green Hills of Missouri | I knew before I was done reading your post that you were talking about a K R. I have an 8' that acts the same way. I get voids under the plastic about the volume of a volley ball every so often. I have been blaming myself because I'm always late chopping so my feed is to dry. We will see this year if it changes as this year we had a wet spring so I got planted late. About another day and I will be going.
One solution I was told about is to replace the brake pads with metalic and crank the pressure to 55-60 foot pounds I have been running 40 so that should help. I am doing both this year plus chopping wetter feed so won't know for sure what has made the difference. Good luck.
