It looks like as long as the pivot bolt wasn't tightened, the boot should still flex....am I missing something. The bolt would be tight in the mounting arm, but not in the boot. It actually looks like a simple fix.
It still pivots. The problem is that it reduces the fore/aft wiggle to zero, and (surprising to me), this creates a major problem for plugging in wheat stubble. There needs to be about 1/4" of fore/aft wiggle to clear the straw out. |
