The problem these kinds of questions in math are the other possibilities are over there heads.


With a little rearranging it still (kinda) works. At least to the point where you can see how it works again.

5^1/3 ==> 1/(5³) ==> 1/(5*5*5)


Just FYI, that is not correct.

5^(1/3) is the cube root of 5.

1/(5*5*5) is the inverse of 5 cubed.
