Milford, Illinois | This is on a Case IH 2588 combine. That's the parts diagram I posted above. All they did from the 2007 model to the 2008 model was put this pressure switch on instead of the temperamental paddle switch. I think the plug is the same as last year's where the pressure switch's short pigtail wire plugs into the combine wiring harness in the grain tank. The pressure switch just bolts flat to the front part of the Mauer type bin extension, no mounting brackets at all. The only tricky part is to determine how far forward on the bin extension to mount the pressure switch. One could find a new combine and see where it was mounted. I kind of had in mind using this pressure switch to replace a temperamental paddle switch where the combine was already wired for a bin-full indicator. But I suppose one could rig up a small light in the cab on a combine with no bin-full indicator. | |
