Can direct wiring be made/used for this combo? Does the UD+ and its 5 pins provide the necessary connections to make the 162 receiver with its 12 pin deutsch connector work or are the 2 Case wiring harnesses needed?
Yes, you can wire direct. The 5 pins include power, ground, Tx, Rx, and Data Ground, so you have everything you need.
