| I don't know the answer for sure. I was thinking that something may have eaten your roots, causing the deficiency symptoms. That is one case. The other case is that you do in fact need to apply more K.
For now, do some digging to see if you can find any insects or signs of root disease. Maybe check compaction with a soil probe. Tests of the soil and the plant tissue would be the next step.
