south west in | we have a 1070 case that is blowing water out the overflow. we pressure tested the engine with the exhaust manifold off and could hear noise out of #2 cylinder. we removed head and the top of liner had a clean spot beside the head gasket. (no carbon around the top for about a inch) we think that is it. the problem is that liner is setting low, it is within specks but just is. back in the day we would install a head gasket with a thicker fire ring. I was told by dealer that is no longer available and cant find one anywhere. is there a way of fixing this without cutting the counter bore and shimming liner. we are getting the heads surfaced because there was a ring worn into the head. | |
