North of London | I think there is one factor that is overlooked and that is time.
So I look through a #10 for a few seconds which I have done in past partial eclipse, not a real problem.
Now if I looked through that #10 for the entire hour and a half that it happened over maybe a problem.
BTW while the sun is entirely covered you do not need protection and is recommended that you view it without anything to get the best view of it.
Now I expect you need to get the glasses back on as soon as the edge starts to lighten.
Other suggestion I have heard on news here is the glasses should be so dark you can not see anything except the sun when you look directly at it. | |
