West Central Illinois | I did this same thing 3 years ago. Burnt it off with fire in the spring then let it regrow until green then burnt down with chemical. Planted once grass/weeds were dead then came back with a post spray application later. Spread fertilizer into the green grass and waited for a rain before burning down with spray. Worked out well for me as I ended up with 50 bushel beans on clay in 2015 | |
