Thanks, puma. Yes, I'm aware that the MT765(A) is a bit of an odd bird. I appreciate your experience.
BTW, I took an MT685D for a spin today. It looks very promising. I like the various transmission controls a lot; it can go from stopped to full speed and back to stopped (with engine braking) using just the pedal. This should be fun.
