NEMO
When I mess with concrete I think in terms of 50-60 years. I cringe at 4 inches when talking cattle and pushing manure. If your operation grows over the next 10 years, what tractor or loader will be driving around on it in 10-15 years?

4 inches may be fine, and definitely better than mud. But for $2000 more, pour 6 inches. The extra 2 inches might be the difference in an extra 20 years. Think what it would cost to do it all over in 20-30 years. A good thick solid foundation is no place to cut corners.

Good luck on your project.
