Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | Another option since you won't be moving the modules would be to go with an Application Rate Module which would just monitor the fertilizer rate. You would still have to adjust the pump to make changes in the rate. The nice part is that you can watch the rate for problems and to make adjustments to get the rate you desire.
This is actually what I've done for many years. I have a Raven RFM 15 flowmeter in the fertilizer line. The flow meter is connected to the Application Rate module which could be on the planter or tractor. The applied rate and totals would be shown on the display. There would be no need for an Auxiliary Input Module and switchbox with this plan.
So what you would need in the planting rig would be the Ag Leader display and a CAN connection to the Application Rate Module. A cable goes from the Application Rate Module to the flow meter. The system will start counting acres when it "sees" flow and compute the applied rate. No sections can be involved, its either all ON or all OFF. This would be considerably cheaper as compared to getting another Auxiliary Input Module and Liquid Module. |
