Dawn dish soap or even liquid Era. Son recently got soaked with ATF on a purple tshirt. You can imagine how bad it was. He had already washed and dried out t. I soaked it in some Dawn rinsed and let it air dry a couple times until dark stains were gone. I usually use a bucket and let it sit a day or two. Then rinse, air dry. Then if the spots are gone, wash and dry as usual. The air dry helps not set the stain if it's not quite out yet.

I think pretty much all detergents will do a good job. I do try on food stains to use a bar of soap even if it just happened, scrub on the stain, turn shirt inside out and rinse with cold water inside out as to not run stain further into the fabric. Works like a charm.

Or, find yourself an old wringer washer for the shop yukkies and just let it run a while with some high powered stuff listed above. I wouldn't put most of that in an He washer, I think the suds would relay give it troubles, likely tear up a good machine.
