All you have to do is install a Flow-Trak system. Fairly inexpensive. Will read rate, tally gallons & acres. Will tie into your existing speed sensor.

We do this a fair amount. This situation can be handled in several ways. The Flow-trak from Micro-trak will certainly do the job.

Most spray controllers will work also. The controller is not controlling the product so there is no connection to a control or servo valve. The controller can be run in either manual or automatic. In automatic it will try to adjust the flow rate but of course can't change it since there is no control valve involved. Most controllers will have some type of alarm to warn the operator that the rate is off target. This can be good as it should warn the operator that something is wrong with the ground driven system.

We quite commonly do this with an Ag Leader product such as a PF3000, Advantage or Insight. With the Insight the Auxiliary Input module is often used which can be connected to a Raven (or others) flowmeter as well as an Implement switch. The Insight (with multi-product unlock) can then monitor/log/map the seed variety as well as the starter fertilizer.

A Direct Command Liquid system for an Insight that is used for a spraying situation can also be used. Again there is no control circuit but the tolerance can be set fairly wide to avoid nuisance alarms but yet warn the operator if the rate is dramatically incorrect.

The problem with this whole idea is that on certain Deere setups it is difficult to insert the flowmeter between the pump and the manifold. The flowmeter works best on the output side of the pump.
