I honestly don't know off the top of my head. Never thought that deeply about trit as it is less than a minor crop here. I suspect different types of wheat can be crossed with rye to suit the area where they are grown? Soft red is grown here, almost all winter wheat, but that wouldn't work to the nw would it?
