Watery?  Didn't that stuff use to taste great 30+ years ago????  Growing up, we'd go once a month to Ft. Knox to do our grocery shopping at the commissary... They sold the stuff ona cardboard flat of 24 cans for some ridiculously low price, and you could take a flat and mix however many of whatever flavors you wanted to get your 24 cans.  That was always my highlight of the trip, getting the right mix of root beer, grape, orange, crème soda and lemon lime.  Some trips I was feeling more root beer, others, more of the orange!!  Life was so dang simple back then!  I don't know if I've had any of theirs in 20 years at least.  I do still see it on the shelves in 2 liters though.  I recall them being one of the few to offer 3 liter bottles back in the day, I remember them being rinsed out and put in the freezer to use as water jugs during the summer.
