Subject: Steel or rubber tracks for small excavator

Texas
Dealer let me demo a Deere 60G. I am looking at trading my 310SJ backhoe in on it. I really like it so far after a couple hours use today but the only thing I am not sure of is it has steel tracks.

I know they will by far outlast rubber but I worry about them tearing stuff up. I ran it down my concrete driveway and it didn't hurt anything so maybe they will be ok?

I currently have four rubber tracked machines and love them. Have no experience with steel.

I saw a neighbor track a huge excavator across the blacktop and it didn't hurt anything. I know a dozer destroys asphalt without tires or boards but I guess the triple bar grousers are a lot more friendly.
