Yeah, the later beans went in when it was already hot and dry. The ground was still damp and the shallow planted beans ended up in dry dirt, especially no till and if they ended up in the old row residue. They were a short inch deep and in 36 hours it was bone dry in the top 1.5 inches. the guys that worked the ground found the same problem, as the worked dirt went dry to m2 inches pretty quick. Best stand of beans planted in that window were worked twice, planted and rolled all in the same day.
Our CC NT beans made out OK, as the CC seemed to keep the wind off the ground and it did not dry out as fast. Most of our beans were planted before the week.

Is the main portion of your operation north of 34? With the comment about the rain splitting and you only needing 1 rain to make your crop, it sounds like you are getting regular rains.
