Pickens
Hello,
I have doubts about that cylinder,,,but I have no experience there...would think it would chop straw/weeds easier.

The 2 most critical areas, since you are in there, in the line-bored (they called theirs concentric) concave with fillers under the first 4 spaces.
Every other rod removed, and holes plugged.

The other item is the stock beater...Lowen use to sell the flat bladed beater, don't know if A&I still has it or not...That is the cat's meow.
Will move far more material and air, over the stock JD one. (pulls large volume of air like a Gleaner or Case IH) Will give a superior stripping action.

That is where I would put my money, as I have in the past.

What crops?

The 65 inch stock cylinder with no filler plates, and a concave ran at 0 clearance in the rear will turn that combine into a Screamer.

Good Luck,
CF
