We used to joke that it wasn't a party without 'A warm keg o' Blatz'. 

Back in my day, Coors wasn't available east of the Mississippi, so everyone wanted some. Finally tried one and could not understand the attraction. Olympia was similarly detestable, IMHO. Drank a fair amount of Weidman's back in my more impoverished days, but Busch was my go-to. Had a cardboard box across the room and tossed the empty cans in. Don't know why I didn't get my damage deposit back...

Had a college friend from Wisconsin. He said all the breweries were on the Wisconsin River. Took water in from upriver and spit out their waste downriver. You wanted to buy the brand farthest up the river! That was a long time ago. I'm sure things are different now.
