Boone, Iowa | When replacing the front crank seal, I have found the easiest way is to remove the radiator and shroud. This allows plenty of room to remove the front timing cover, so you can R&R the seal properly. Do a search for the KDP or killer dowel pin and install this, if it has not already been done. You also may want to make sure the water pump weep hole is not leaking. Now, would be a good time to replace the water pump, while the antifreeze is drained. Check the condition of your serpentine tensioner and pulley, while the belt is off. | |
