Grain drying i think is way overlooked when it comes to cost of drying and how some tech could make that more efficient, both in speed, and cost. Having something that will tie combines, trucks and dryer's together to give you a whole harvest system overview.

Here are some scenario's.

Taking current and forecast weather into account when drying.
Maybe it would be more cost efficient to slow the dryer down if they have rain in the forecast and you won't be able to harvest the next day?
Maybe the temps are dropping below freezing at night you should pound the dryer harder by day?
Maybe a humidistat in the cooling bin to let you know when the cooling process in complete?
The combine could let the dryer know there is some 24% corn coming and how many bushels of it, then it could tell you how that is going to affect the bushel's / hour that i can dry, if it slows you down enough maybe you'll move the harvest operation to a farm that requires more hauling time while it chews through that 24% corn.
