Some rigs ran the engine coolant through the fuel tanks with plumbing to keep the fuel warm from gelling. Be easy enough to tell upon inspection as there should be lines running into and back out of the tank somewhere and there should be a shutoff valve on the line somewhere for when it was summertime and no need to use the option.
