All righty then, I just checked again.
The screws provided with my display by trimble are #10-32, that is what I checked the size of earlier, they have been holding the mount on for 2 years now.....
The display is actually threaded metric 5x .80 pitch
The pitch is identical on those sizes but the metric is a tiny bit larger diameter,
