Somerville, Indiana | we bought planed hardwood for our trailers, Oak-White Oak. Kiln dryed. We found it well worth it. Apitong is also available that comes on some factory trailers.
We have access to Indiana Hardwood in Chandler, Indiana. Not many sawmills around that carry kiln dried wood anymore. If you decide to try unseasoned, stay with 6 inch width to avoid warping when the wood drys. After the wood is dry use Super Deck, much longer lasting treatment than Thompson's and won't make the floor slick like diesel will. Trailer shops will have tork head screws to hold down after pilot drilling each hole.
Normal thickness is 1 5/8 and has worked well for us.
