Last year we replaced the shear bar in our 8010 with a feederhouse silencer kit and it worked great. Unfortunately on the 20 series combine they used a bigger drive sprocket and there isn't room to put the silencer in them.


Not completely true. There is a Sn break where they went to the larger sprocket. I wouldn't remove the bar if your doing corn. The leaves wrap around the sprocket in different conditions. Make sure there isn't a gap between the bar and feeder side. Case sells a shim for it.
