SE Iowa | I have the Mavic, it's the same camera specs as a phantom three professional. It is smaller and folds up, which is really nice when you're packing light and want to small drone. The battery life is about the same as a phantom four, but it can't handle as much wind. The phantom 4 can with stand up to 20 mph of wind, where the Mavic is 15, or maybe a little more. The Mavic has obstacle avoidance on the front, whereas the phantom 4 pro has obstacle avoidance all around, except for the top.
You have to get an adapter to fly the Mavic with a tablet. The controller can only hold a phone. The controller is extra with the Mavic, but I highly recommend buying the controller as well.
I would stay away from the spark, if possible. I'm sure it's a fun and great little drone, but if you're looking for camera quality for pictures, the Mavic is far superior to the spark. | |
