Hennepin, IL | Doing exactly what youre talking about as we speak. If just buying the sprayer and drops, ill be under your $10k budget by a grand or so. Sprayer is a Hardi Commander 750 with a 60' boom that i bought for 7000, but i also have an ag leader syatem running it that was around another 5000. Threw some parts at it including a pump rebuild. Drops are costing somewhere around $15-20 apiece making everything ourselves. One piece of advise is youll want a machine with 60" tread width and make sure the boom hangs out past the tires when its folded, otherwise youll have a giant pain. Still building drops yet, but i cam keep you posted when we get to the field. Email is good also.
