Starting to happen here in SW IA as well. Schools are broke and there solution is build bigger schools and consolidate. I don't see it. I think they need to stay in there current buildings and tighten there belt like we all do. But I guess I'm anti education. Lol Blows my mind that schools with declining enrollment think they need 11 million dollar campus. But the good news is the school got a study and it says the school is right and spend it like there no tomorrow. Lol!!!!!!!!
11 million sounds like a bargain. MLSD just passed a bond to build a high school and do some other updating... $130+ million. |
