Subject: RE: Terrastar and paradyme systems

NW MN
From what I can tell now a used Paradyme or Geosteer RTK could be your cheapest route if you can buy it right and it stays reliable. Digifarm for corrections.

There is really nothing I can find new from Ag Leader for hydraulic steering that would be less than that $10-12k price you got a quote on. You could possibly go to an Ontrac3 and feed it RTK from an older RTK receiver such as a 2500, 262, Raven Phoenix 300, etc. If you can find the right used receiver one could get a setup together for $6-7k.

I have not used Terrastar myself since we have a pretty decent CORS network in MN which makes
RTK the less expensive option. If you want true repeatability RTK is the way to go. How well did it work with your strips this spring? How much nudging did you need to do?
