Subject: RE: SMS Basic Change Data after the fact

Example 1 and 2: Open the "tree" to the bottom layer for the particular item you're wanting to change. Right click on the the movie clapper towards the bottom. Click "move branch" and it'll open up a management selection window and you can change everything you want about that data from there.

Example 3: If you have a boundary for these two fields you can right click on the instance (planting, spraying, harvest) and select "sort loads into fields". This sometimes works and sometimes not. If you don't have these use the layer editor as the previous poster stated. It's a logo with a finger pointing and some papers. (Before you do this you may want to take a little time and back things up so if you accidentally delete something it's not a huge issue.) From there you can delete the half of the field that doesn't belong with the other half. BE SURE to go to file "Save As" when you do this and hit close without saving on the editor screen. Then go back into editor and do the same just opposite of before.

You can create boundaries manually in SMS. They may not be as accurate but it's very helpful when loading data into SMS. If you have data for that field select the instance (planting, harvest, spraying, ect.), right click and select Trace Boundary. If you don't have data, select on of your current boundaries, go into the layer editor tool, delete that boundary, and draw a new boundary on the field which you don't have a boundary for. Again, do a Save As, and DO NOT save on the actual layer editor screen.

Hopefully this helps. Also, Ag Leader has a bunch of youtube videos on SMS which are easy to follow and extremely helpful.
