I commend you for wanting to keep him active but if mowing ditch banks and such get him something with a cab that is rated for rollover protection or at least a ROPS and seat belt and make sure he wears it. Perhaps the MS has slowed his reaction time and you want to keep him safe in less than ideal situations.

Not being critical just want you to make sure you keep him safe.
