Subject: Grain Drill Monitor???

NE Iowa
Yesterday had to patch in a couple of half drill with spots with soybeans where dad didn't notice the chain came off. This is not the first time this has happened either. Its an old Tye 15' no-till coulter cart drill. Dad really likes drilling beans for me while I'm planting corn. I have orange flags duct taped to the drive sprockets on the end of the drill to tell you if things are turning but currently have no monitor. Lots of used monitors / sensors for sale so thinking that would be good to add to make things easier for him. Any suggestions on monitor to go with? Just a cheap blinking light monitor with about 3 sensors on each side? Or spend some extra money on a monitor that counts population? Getting the drill set right is kinda tough but not sure how accurate the population sensors are for drill applications. Open to any suggestions. Thanks.
