I grabbed an old well pump jack and one of the windmill legs at the same time. Pretty sure I know what a heart attack feels like.

An old overhead power wire that ran to a grain bin had sagged a little and rubbed against the windmill and wore through it's little yellow foot long protective piece someone thought would prevent the problem. Buried the wire, but I still hesitate when messing with that well.
