Check your battery cables too. Had this happen to mine last year and thought it was the shut off solenoid too. Ended up using a bungee cord to tie it up to start it then it would hold so removed the bungee cord. I ended up having a cracked clamp on one of the battery cables. Replaced and it worked again.
