You will still need the Nav controller. Ask the salesman if he knows if the steering system is can based or not. There are two different routes to take depending on if the steering is can based or not. The earlier John Deere equipment that is non can based uses adapter cables to hook the steering valve and steering override sensor up to the nav control. In this setup the nav controller is running things directly. With a can system you have a single cable that is letting the nav controller communicating with one of the computers on the tractor. Either system will work with your Trimble stuff but they will take different kit. This is the case with the john Deere tractors anyway. I'm not real familiar with their combines but I suspect they would be similar.
