Pilot Grove, Missouri
A good stand of a cereal rye cover crop established as early as possible, eliminates marestail problems here. That said I have a problem getting the rye drilled early enough some years, this past fall included. Ahead of corn My burndown is usually early enough to get them with gly and 2-4d. Ahead of beans, I am having to spend a little more to kill them. I think I need to concentrate on getting the rye established earlier. patrick
