Yeah there are a couple different cables but if you have time to find used ones off ebay or something it's well worth it. I went to trimble and got the diagrams/part numbers for the cables needed like the before fellow showed and just watched ebay for a couple weeks. New from Trimble they are 100 to 200 a piece but if you need them now that's a good option. If you need more help finding the part numbers just reply back but trimble's support site is pretty good.

Edit: I should look before I talk, I see the last guy had all the info you needed there. In my brain I also thought you were going from a EZ guide plus to a 500. I don't know that there are a lot of benefits if you're just steering with it to upgrade. My situation was from a plus to a 500 though, never used a 250 before.
