Central Illinois | There have been a few different issues with the firmware that has been released from DJI lately and they are not great about letting people know that they will be updating firmware. Anytime you are using multiple software packages together, when one makes changes it can "break" the other one. I would venture to guess that its not necessarily the same issue, but multiple issues that present similarly. Once fixed, another update to firmware (on the ship, the controller, or the battery) has the chance of breaking it again.
I would be inclined to think this is more of an issue with DJI firmware than it is with Drone Deploy...
