how new is it? windows 10 does all updates automatically and if it's really new it'll take a bit to download all those updates. other then that there's plenty of junk pre installed you could get rid of.
as for Mcafee i've always thought of it as the worst mainstream anti virus. i personally use the free version of Avast and have never had any issues with it
