SW MO | Corn is either 2-3 inches tall or has not yet emerged (prior to the flooding event). I am in SW MO and we have recieved 7+ inches of rain. River bottoms have been completely submerged. Can't see the corn now since it's under water.
What should be done about the corn that is 2-3 inches tall when it finally dries out? It will be so patchy that it will need to be replanted I think. Should I spray all the corn out? Then replant? If so, what should I spray it with? (RR and LL ready). Should I run over the sprouted corn with the TurboMax to kill it and then start fresh instead?
What about nitrogten loss? Should I assume total loss and put all of what I previously put on back on the field once again?
In the past I have also gone into the drowned out areas and planted again and left the areas that didn't drown out alone. Maybe I should stick with that plan again? Problem is I think all of the N (Super U) will be gone even where the corn is still standing.
The last three days have sucked. :(
