Subject: RE: Is a John Deere 4555 a good overal tractor?

Southern Nevada desert
My neighbor has a 4560 that I use to harvest his hay, it has 16589.8 hours on it.
It has never had the engine or trans touched except for a water pump. He has changed two hydraulic pumps, the first was not bad, just had a part changer working on it. There is a hard line on the right side of the trans that cracks about every 5000 hours, it has needed A/C work every few years lately, mostly hoses and a compressor clutch. The last few years the rubber hoses to the steering and a/c have started to go after only 25 years in the desert heat.
The tractor just always works, it has been by far the most reliable tractor I have ever been around.
