WC Wisconsin | 1234 - 4/28/2017 10:03 It shouldn't take much to set trump in motion. Just a quick phone call to the White House should be sufficient. There doesn't appear to be anything trump enjoys more than bashing some trading partner over some " very unfair " thing or other. What's puzzling is that Brazil's corn crop this year should be more than enough to replace whatever cane sugar gets diverted to the sugar market. And corn got to be just about as cheap there as here, right? The good news is trump's EPA is going to drop the 2022 fuel standards requiring a fleet fuel economy of 53 mpg. That means the decline in gasoline consumption that was anticipated won't happen so more ethanol will be required.
Can an ethanol plant easily switch raw product from cane to corn? I thought Cane was much more potent at producing ethanol than corn, but you are saying that the production process is not very different between the two. I have no idea and so I'm asking. |
