WC MN | I'd argue we are getting more late July and August rain. Growing season does tend to last longer into the fall as well.
20 years ago a large part of the northern plains was planted to wheat which meant from about mid July on that ground was either brown or black. Now those wheat acres have shifted largely to corn and soybeans. I am not sure if or how much that can shift our late summer weather but it seems to have had some affect. Either that or it is just a coincidence. | |
