There could be a burnt out backlight on the Cruizer II, or it may not be starting up correctly. It's probably worth trying the USB install where it forces the install to happen. Download it from here and follow the instructions. If this doesn't get you any results, you're probably going to have to get in touch with your dealer and send it in for repair.
