Kingston,Mi | Ages ago when the faded/ripped jeans first appeared as a fashion statement, my youngest brother and his buddy would buy new Levi's, work loading baled hay until they were faded and had thin to holed spots on the legs. They took these trashed jeans back to the clothing store and sold them for more than they paid then bought more Levi's and started over again. Hugh said it was a good gig until some genius figured out how to fake hard work.
