Subject: EZ Guide 250 Poor Signal Quality going south?

SE ND
Tonight we were drilling in wheat and dad was running the EZ Steer for the first time. Everything was going awesome until 9 o clock, we kept getting poor signal quality message and autosteer would disengage. It only happened going south and would happen 4-6 times in a half mile, turn around and go north and wouldn't bother once. We are Favor Accuracy in settings, usually 6-8 satellites but had 9 earlier in the night. The antenna is stuck between the front axle on an 8450 JD, can the cab block the satellites if the antenna is on the hood? By 930 or so it went back to not kicking out at all.
