Undercarriage is a wear item kinda like tires. If a tire blew out after you had purchased it would you expect them to pay for it. I guess you could get a. Lawyer to write a nasty letter. That worked for that guy on the jd tractor on here lol. Not trying to be an arse but we are moving into its always the other guys fault kind of society. Just wait till your that other guy and someone is trying to come back on you for something that is out of your control.
There is so many what ifs with this situation. For we know that trucker that hauled it the 30 miles to the dealer pulled it 75 mph. I would expect it to be received in the same condition as it was at the farmers. That's what you bought. You didn't buy something that needed almost 5k in parts. I agree with contacting the previous owner and try to get the condition before it left him place
