Subject: RE: Silo Mural

Ham - 4/23/2017 17:30

Nice pics !    Makes me want to visit Australia   ( he said jokingly...)      A small correction about the  pic of mural on the grain silos at Coonalpyn. They are not disused, and are fully active.   This is about an hour from me, and I was surprised to read that, so I actually checked just now.
I do have to say  i was very surprised when Viterra gave permission for it to be done, and supported the project.

EDIT  the mural  has only recently been completed and  the kids depicted  are from the small lcal school where my sister-in-law works

I want to move there after all the time spent downunder.  Amazing country and amazing people.  Just need to find a job!

Thanks for the correction.  I was under the impression the silos were disused after reading an article on the ABC website.  I know the other 3 silo art sites in Patchewollock, Brim and Sheep Hills are disused.  And beautiful (they had yet to paint the Rupanyup silos when I visited).
