The problem hasn't just been printing the reactive metarials in an argon environment that's primarily a weld issue. The real concern is how do you handle the powder that's where people have died or have been serverly burned as what happened at Powderpart in Woburn MA. All you need is a very small amount of powdered metal flying across the room and a spark from static electricity and you have an explosion. When you start getting into the reactive metals you need to start thinking about everything from the flooring to the telephone and the lighting in the room you are in down to Class II div 2 electrical on everything in contact with that powder.

Then when you add reactive metals with toxic and explosive materials that's when all the fun starts.
